What is a Skin Discovery Session?

In this session we thoroughly assess your skin in person to find your skins concerns and needs. From there a treatment planned is formed and takes place in order to get your skin into its best condition!

Skin Discovery Sessions can take place as an add on to any exisiting treatment, and will always take place in the Dermapen 4 sessions.

What is the Dermapen 4 treatment?

The Dermapen 4 is the gold standard in skin needling technology. It uses oscillating medical-grade micro-needles to gently glide over the skin and encourage collagen growth, which is the key to skin repair. It is designed to improve skin texture, smooth wrinkles, fine lines and soften scars and stretch marks. It is suitable for all skin types and all areas of the face, neck, décolletage and body.

Are there any side effects?

After the Dermapen 4 treatment, you can expect:

• Redness for the first day

• Tightness and heat in the face

• After a few days, a bit of dry skin.

Are there any after-care instructions?

After your treatment you will be given an aftercare sheet to take home to remind you of the care to follow. This includes:

• Wearing lots of moisturiser

• No active ingredients for 5 days

• No swimming or direct sunlight for 5 - 7 days

When should I NOT have the Dermapen 4 treatment?

Dermapen 4 is contraindicated in the following:

• Papulopustular Rosacea

• Acne Vulgaris Stage III-IV

• Herpes Simplex

• Warts

• Schleroderma

• Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Patients currently with infections or are on antibiotics

• Open leisons

• Solar Keratosis

• Skin Cancer

• Patients with bleeding disorders

• If you have an important event - a minimum of 2-3 MONTHS PRIOR to the event occurring. Any less and treatment may be refused.
